Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Lim Kok Wing, Founder and President of Limkokwing University, received the Silver Award from Creativity International Awards recently. This was in recognition of his personal blog which competed under the New Media & Web Design (Blog) category in the 40th Creativity Media Competition.

The blog was started last year and chronicles his thoughts on branding, education, human capital, innovation and peace-making.

The Creativity International Awards is one of the longest running independent international advertising and graphic design competitions in the world, first established in 1970 as a travelling exhibit in conjunction with Art Direction Magazine.

It is a print design, web design and advertising design competition all in one and is judged by a panel of advertising and design professionals, with new judges selected every year.

The Creativity International Awards is currently based in Louisville, Kentucky in the United States and is a subsidiary of Four Colour Print Group.

Other brands that were recognised in the 40th Creativity Media Competition include Nissan, Walt Disney Studios, Pepsi, MTV, Pizza Hut, Samsung Mobile, Nickelodeon, Publicis, NBC Universal, Paramount, DreamWorks and FIAT.

This latest award adds to the ever-growing collection boasted by World Wide Web Domination (W3D), Centre for Content Creation—the team behind the founder’s blog, as well as all other Limkokwing affiliate websites.

Last year, W3D took home three awards on behalf of Limkokwing University for the university’s official website, including the Interactive Media Awards (IMA) Outstanding Achievement Award, Best Arts Website in the 2009 WebAwards from Web Marketing Association USA as well as a Web Design Award for the month of April from DesignFirms—the world’s largest and most respected design community and marketplace.
