Establishment assists the development of Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy.

Limkokwing University of Creative Technology broadens its empire with the latest opening of its new campus in Kuching, Sarawak recently.

The president, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Lim Kok Wing said the university will strive to produce excellent students who are talented and willing to compete.

He added, this effort is not only for the students but also to meet the demand of the industry and at the same time to contribute to the development of Sarawak and the nation.

“With the existing technology, it will benefit thousands of young minds with creative design and concepts that will generate new innovative products.

“We will also be helping in the social and economy transformation of the state especially in the development of The Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE)”, he said during the ceremony.

The Sarawak campus, which was launched by the Chief Minister of Sarawak, Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, consists of more than 500 students from 10 countries. The entire Limkokwing University embraces 25,000 students from 145 countries across 12 campuses in seven countries including 9,000 from 135 countries in Kuala Lumpur.

Based on the ‘global classroom’ concept, Limkokwing is now planning to expand their campus to Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe within the following five years.

Also presented on the day were the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang and wife, Senator Puan Sri Empiang Jabu who is also the Chairperson of Limkokwing University Governing Council.
