Relentless in his efforts to push back the frontiers of innovation and creativity, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Lim Kok Wing was recognised yet again as a role model for aspiring business leaders who wish to develop an ideal corporate culture and sound business practices.
He was given an award to acknowledge his ‘Leadership in Innovation and Creativity’ by the organisers of the Malaysian Business Leadership Awards 2010, a scheme kickstarted last year by the private sector.
The scheme was established to pay tribute to Malaysian business leaders who are an inspiration and encouragement to their peers in the business world.
The Founder-President of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Tan Sri Lim was among other top business leaders who received the award from the organisers of the scheme, the Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce (KLMCC) and the publishers of Leadership magazine.
The organisers hope that aspiring business leaders will be able to leverage on the winning leaders’ “powerful abilities and knowledge” and create a synergy to strengthen Malaysia’s economic status.
Last year, the organisers had bestowed upon Tan Sri Lim the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was received on Tan Sri’s behalf by his daughter, Tiffanee Marie Lim. Among the VIPs present at the award ceremony were the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries, Datuk Seri Noh Omar and Minister of Human Resources, Datuk Dr. S. Subramaniam.
