Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Lim Kok Wing has built a global brand of creative technology learning institutions that bear his name. He said the building blocks of his success lie with the multi-national and multi-cultural blend of students.

Lesotho may be a landlocked country but it is a land blessed with natural rare beauty and equally endowed with many resources such as diamonds, and water. It is also a country peopled by a gifted and talented race known for their courage and fortitude in facing the challenges of the day. And for more than 320 young Basotho it was both a historic day and a personal triumph as they became the first batch of graduates to leave the hallowed grounds of the Limkokwing University since it was set up in Maseru, Lesotho in 2008.

For ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) to benefit from globalisation and transform its respective economic status, the region must empower its young people with the right knowledge, experience and skills to take advantage of the many technological changes happening in the realm of digital technology.

If there is one phrase that can best capture the reasons behind the success of Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Lim Kok Wing, it would be "Dare to be Different". As the leading advocate for the use of creativity and creative thinking, Tan Sri Lim has been at the forefront of showing both Malaysians and the world at large the importance of thinking out of the box.
Limkokwing University has created new partnerships with high-end digital technology providers through a new initiative called the Malaysia Digital Innovation Centre (MDIC). It was launched recently by Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at the Limkokwing’s Cyberjaya campus.
